⁹ There was nothing in the Ark except for the two stone tablets that Moses had placed in it at Horeb when the Lord made a covenant with the Israelites when they came out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁰ When the priests came out of the Holy Place, a cloud filled the temple of the Lord. ¹¹ The priests could not stand there to minister on account of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord had filled the temple of the Lord.
